Mountain Modern

New Construction | Cornerstone Club, Colorado

The Project

A ground-up mountain residence at Cornerstone Club, within easy reach of Telluride and set along the second hole of the golf course with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. Natural stone, warm woods and dark architectural elements establish a refined mountain-modern palette, while the interiors balance clean lines, natural textures and elevated living .

Design Direction

Natural stone, warm wood, matte black metal and layered textures create a refined mountain-modern palette that feels warm, timeless, and distinctly Colorado.

Architect: David Burns (Eagle, Colorado)

Builder: Ultimate Design and Construction, Inc. (Montrose, Colorado)

A refined mountain-modern palette balances light French oak, greige cabinetry and luminous Taj Mahal quartzite with glossy lacquer, dark bronze tile, honed granite, reclaimed wood and blackened steel. The result is a kitchen and bar area that feels warm, architectural and quietly dramatic—designed to complement its Colorado mountain setting.
